Karkat x Reader~ Maybe flushed, maybe not

From his grey (and seemingly lifeless) face, to his lanky yet tough looking body, Karkat Vantas wasn't seen as the one to 'love', or so the humans called it.

Everyone from his world called it 'flushed', and once again, no one really believed he would come to terms with another on that level. The red level.

He had his moments, but they seemed to slip and fade. Was it all his fault? A question he often asked himself, for Karkat didn't always feel like the jerk he was.

Of course, mind you, this story wouldn't be possible without a special someone, who happened to be a friend among the other humans.

(Name) (last name). Friend of John, Jade, Dave and Rose.

At a first glance, Karkat wasn't sure to ignore her presence or acknowledge it.

He decided to acknowledge it. That decision changed everything.

Because now she wouldn't leave him alone. It was like she couldn't leave his side.

And even though he cared for her (NOT FLUSHED he would state), it still annoyed him. It would annoy anyone really, but this is Karkat. He takes things to a whole new level.

"KarkatKarkatKarkat?" she would mumbled over and over (or so it sounded). Maybe he just wanted her to say his name. Then again, he wasn't flushed for her. No he wasn't.

"Uhhhhh for fuck's sake (Name), WHAT?"

Her eyes widened and remained silent for a few seconds before smiling and jumping away like the random-ass she was.

For some reason, they were just wandering around the hive, with nothing to do.

Why couldn't she have gone and bugged that shit-head Sollux? Fuck.. Karkat mumbled rubbing the back of his neck, watching her stumble a little as he hopped over something random.

It made him chuckle when she almost fell--WAIT. NO. IT WASN'T FUNNY.
He grunted. fuckfuckfuck she's coming over here...

"Karkat?" she asked softly.

He raised an eyebrow but didn't look at her.

"What do you want."

She leaned in closer, putting a hand on his shoulder making him shudder. She lifted her lips to his ear and whispered: "YOUR IT!!"

"AHHH FUCK YOU (NAME)! FUCK!" he shouted angrily as she pushed him over and raced off into the forest. ((where the fuck the forest come from? XD))

He groaned, standing back up and brushing off some dirt.
 "Fuck that! I'm not chasing you through the forest..yah little shit." he stared into the forest, but you never came out again.

"I'M LEAVING!" he shouted. "I'M NOT PLAYING YOUR SUCK-ASS GAME!"

But as he stepped in the direction away from the forest, he stopped. Something was telling him to stay. What if she got hurt? WAIT. NO. HE DIDN'T CARE. Didn't he?

Or for the past few days (or weeks, who knew) had he really changed his opinion of her?

He didn't swear around her as often, because he knew she didn't like it that much.
In fact, he never heard her swear before, which really surprised him.

Then he got to thinking.
Where is that little shit.. he looked around, but didn't see her. Fuck.

“(NAME)?” he shouted entering the forest after her, a little to late though. God, she could have been anywhere by now. Karkat was getting nervous AHEM, I mean, concerned, for your safety.

“(NAME) THIS ISN'T FUCKING FUNNY! COME ON NOW!” he kept calling, but the woods made not a sound. Not a peep.

“FUCK SAKES (NAME) YOU WIN THE STUPID GAME OKAY??!”

Nothing but an odd rustling of leaves blowing along the dry ground.

“Ugggh this is useless.” he mumbled turning around and uttering curse words until he heard a faint snap of a twig.

“WHOSE THERE?!” he called facing his body towards the open forest. “FUCKIN-”

“KK?”

He looked over his shoulder to see....someone he didn't want to see.

“What you want Captor.” he growled.

“I see your keeping busy.” he managed to smile, making Karkat's frown more. “Keeping busy by chasing (Name) around?”

“NO IN YOUR DREAMS FUCKER.” he said. “SHE RAN INTO THE FOREST AND LEFT, NOW I DON'T KNOW WHERE SHE IS.”

“Ohhh..” Sollux scratched his chin. “So..your...worried about her?”

“I NEVER SAID THAT YOU STUPID--”
“Karkat!”

The new voice shot him from his loud oration, causing him to turn towards none other than (Name) emerging from the brush.

“WHAT—the shit.” he was trying to get everything that had just occurred, but (Name)'s attention had already moved from him to.....

“Hi Sollux!” her attention was moved towards her other so called 'friend'.

“Hello there (Name).”

As the two began to talk, Karkat was looking his temper, not a surprise.

“(NAME) WHERE THE FUCK WHERE YOU??” he finally burst out, getting slightly upset with how much she spoke to Sollux when he was around.

She turned to him with sad eyes.

“I was hiding, but you never came.” she frowned, making him feel a little worse than expected.

“Actually, KK here was desperate to find you.” Sollux butted in with a wink. “He even looked--”

“ZIP IT DOUBLE HORNS.”

Sollux laughed. “Don't think I've heard that one before.”

Karkat closed his eyes and crossed his arms, not wanting to look at anyone. Until he felt a warm hand move it's way to his arm, then his shoulder.

“Go away fucker.” he snapped, but instead of the person backing away, he felt something warm on his cheek. His eyes shot open and looked to see (Name)'s perky pretty lips against his cheek. Before he could initially react (with swearing and cursing and such) Sollux was already calling (name) back to the hive, and she was following him.

“Bye Karkitty!” she waved.

“SHUT THE FU--” he stopped in mid-swearing-sentence before deciding not to say anything. A small blush still remained from the sweet peck laid on his right cheek. He didn't touch it, or wipe it off.

Once (Name) and Sollux were gone he felt alone.

Maybe he was flushed for her. Maybe not.
He did have strong feelings for her, if they were positive or negative, well that was something he'd decide. But right now, he knew they weren't negative.
